Northrop Grumman is seeking a Payroll Assistant (level 3) for our Irving, Texas location. This position will be located in Irving and will not offer full time telecommuting.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Load and validate supplemental pay request
• Perform research on demand
• Customer Service
• Sector POC support
• Resolve audit findings each payroll process
• Respond to inquiries from customers within Service Level Agreement
• Basic Ad hoc query request
• Assisting with creating scenario-based audit reports
Candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills and must possess a strong characteristic for attention to detail and accuracy, problem-solving; organizing and prioritizing work demands in order to meet critical deadlines.
Basic Qualifications
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- High school diploma or equivalent & 4 years of related education, i.e.: business or accounting and/or relevant work experience
- Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite (excel, word, and PowerPoint)
- Experience performing basic payroll calculations
- Experience pperating a personal computer including standard software and some specialized accounting software
- Fundamentals of Payroll Certification [1 year completion requirement]
- SAP experience
- Prior experience working in a shared service or center of excellence environment
- Payroll processing experience including relevant regulatory requirements; internal policy and procedure; accounting practices; system software requirements
- Knowledge of FLSA, federal and state laws, etc.
- 1 year of experience involving extensive payroll duties
