Role Overview: As a Content Team Lead within the Product Education group at Salesforce, you will lead, manage and support a team of technical content developers. You will be responsible for guiding the creation and delivery of high-quality technical educational content that empowers Salesforce customers, partners, and employees to maximize the value of our products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of technical content developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills, capabilities, and professional growth.
- Support the team in defining project scopes, objectives, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders and ensure alignment across teams.
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of Product Education content projects, meeting deadlines, maintaining high-quality deliverables, and driving accountability by monitoring progress, addressing risks, and keeping projects on track.
- Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and any relevant issues to leadership and stakeholders.
- Work with leadership to allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal utilization of team members’ skills and expertise.
- Balance workload distribution among team members to prevent bottlenecks and ensure equitable distribution of responsibilities.
- Collaborate with Pillar Leads and Planning and Operations team members to execute against the team content strategy aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
- Ensure adherence to processes and standards to maintain the quality and consistency of technical content across all channels and formats.
- Stay informed about content design industry trends and customer feedback to ensure content relevance and effectiveness.
- Serve as a conduit to the Planning and Operations team to provide feedback on processes and tools to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., technical writing, instructional design, computer science) or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience managing a team of technical content developers in a fast-paced environment, preferably within the software industry.
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles, content management systems, and multimedia production tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for lifelong learning and professional development.
- Experience working with agile methodologies and cross-functional teams is a plus.
- Salesforce certification(s) and familiarity with Salesforce products are desirable but not required.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $157,900 to $217,200. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
