Salesforce Healthcare & Life Sciences is looking for a strong Industry Solutions Specialist to help drive purpose built Solution selling at scale across our Medical & Clinical Solutions suite. This individual needs to be passionate about identifying current and emerging problems in the Industry and inspiring a cross-functional, matrixed organization to create engaging sales conversations and value propositions.
The role requires an industry leader with experience solving critical business problems, identifying new and emerging Industry trends, engaging with various Customer Executives across the Business and IT organizations, and inspiring cross functional teams to work together to achieve Customer and Sales goals. This is a high-visibility role with direct interaction and partnership with various leaders across Life Sciences such as Sales, Solutions, Product Management, and Product Marketing organizations. Our goal is to help the Healthcare & Life Sciences Solutions Community show up authoritatively & efficiently with relevant Industry solutions to influence ACV by focusing on three key pillars of work:
- Develop Pre-Built Industry Solution Assets: Be an active participate in relevant Industry Councils bringing in the Voice of Solutions & our Clients to key needs & relevant Industry Solutions. Then, bring those priorities back to an Industry Solutions Build council led by you to align SE leaders and volunteers to develop pre-built SE solution assets. These assets include but are not limited to the relevant Industry Solutions story / pitch, the demo built 60 - 80% of the way in the Industry Demo Environment, Customer (Consensus) videos to support selling motions.
- Scale Industry Solutions For Impact: As your teams complete Pre-Built Industry Solutions, you will lead internal enablement opportunities to provide awareness of those resources as well as training and mentoring on how to demonstrate them for Client and ACV impact. In addition, you will be viewed as the Industry Solutions lead for external Marketing events and Client webinar opportunities to help connect the value of the Industry solutions with Customers.
- Support Customer Engagements: As the Clinical & Medical Industry Solutions Specialist, it is important to proactively ensure teams are demonstrating the pre-built solutions to help support pipe generation as well as pipe motions and successful closure. In addition, it is essential to be available to SEs to provide strategic deal support and support critical customer conversations as well which includes but is not limited to Client Discovery and Industry Solution Demo support.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with Customers, Industry Advisory groups, and Sales to align on current market problems and trends
- Build and drive Industry collaboration across the matrix-ed organization to prioritize and build an urgent and pervasive Industry solutions needed by Sales for the Market
- Synthesize the Industry relevant Solutions into Content needed by Customers and the Field such as marketing materials and white papers, Customer presentations and demos, and Implementation partners and strategies
- Craft credible and engaging Industry Sales & Solution Conversations to connect with Customers through pipe generation activities and Industry Solution selling motions
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales Programs, and Enablement to build a coordinated Go To Market launch motion internally & externally for market impact
- Build a selling feedback & innovation loop by curating and sharing customer win / loss analysis and success stories to drive new opportunities as well as future product improvements
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Solid understanding of current & emerging Industry market problems, buyers, business processes, and solutions from working for or with Healthcare & Life Science clients - strongly preferred
- Strong Salesforce Solution Engineering &/ Salesforce implementation skills (or comparable technology)
- Successful Project Leadership in a highly matrixed organization to build collaboration & be a multiplier
- Strong Customer presentation and marketing skills in a solution selling environment
- Ability to perform industry and competition research
- Salesforce Health Cloud product & multi-cloud experience
- Innovative & curious about how technology can solve business challenges
