Expedia Group’s Global Marketing team is dedicated to developing and executing innovative and effective global marketing campaigns across our family of brands. Within this organization, the Creative team is Expedia Group’s center of creative excellence. As Copywriting Manager, you will work with stakeholders across the org to develop engaging comms for our Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo brands, with a particular focus on email, landing pages, and push notifications. You will execute against complex briefs for our One Key loyalty program, One Key Credit Cards program, and more, and contribute both as a copywriter and editor when needed. What you’ll do:
- Write clear, concise, and compelling email, landing page, and push copy that aligns to the TOV of each brand
- Execute campaigns against their briefs, developing ideas for how each brand’s value proposition comes to life through email
- Partner with customer engagement, loyalty, legal, design, production, and more to see campaigns through to completion
- Lead and own creative work; always be working on ways to sharpen and elevate your craft
- Understand and appreciate the importance of strategy, and ensure copy delivers on the objectives of each brief
- You’ll peer review others’ work as needed
- You’ll work closely with project managers to ensure copy meets its deadlines, and will help prepare campaigns for production
- You'll manage stakeholder feedback and requests and proactively offer guidance on creative best practices
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications
- At least 10 years as a copywriter in agency or in-house environments with a substantial body of email work; experience with global lifestyle or cultural-impact brands preferred
- Experience writing for loyalty programs a huge plus
- Multi-faceted in developing creative assets across digital platforms and channels
- Highly developed strategic thinking and ability to deconstruct complex briefs
- Strong creative thinking skills and ability to think conceptually
- Experience working with tools such as Smartsheet, Miro, Figma, Keynote, etc.
- Comfortable working independently under tight deadlines, but also collaboratively with other team members
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; you have a meticulous eye for detail, language, grammar, and tone
- You are as organized as you are creative and are comfortable navigating dense workflow processes
- You have an up-to-date portfolio of relevant work
