The Associate Patient Care Coordinator serve as the extension of the company's brand by providing exceptional customer service over the phone. They will help create an excellent patient experience by presenting a positive and professional disposition throughout the entirety of the patient engagement process. They will be responsible for performing virtual front desk activities including the telephones, scheduling appointments, chart preparation, and a variety of routine administrative and clerical support services. This position is a telecommuting, work-at-home position. To comply with HIPAA regulations, applicants must have a dedicated office space and the ability to secure confidential information. The physical environment requires the employee to use a computer with high-speed internet. Some travel is required. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement patient intake and patient care logistics
- Answer all incoming phone calls and be able to direct callers to appropriate staff or able to complete caller requests
- Place outbound calls to patients for scheduling appointments and consultations
- Identify and assess patient needs seamlessly to achieve customer satisfaction
- Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools
- Handle patient complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow-up with appropriate team members and patient to ensure resolution
- Complete EMR documentation/registration and utilize documentation systems for all patient encounters
- Comply with and follow policies and procedures as outlined by Level2
- Maintain the perseverance to drive and sustain the changes that occur at Level2 while being resilient and flexible
- High School Diploma (or higher) OR 2+ years of customer service experience
- Certified medical assistant
- 1+ years of medical office experience
- 1+ years of experience in Customer Service and Excellence in healthcare
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and electronic communication software programs
- Intermediate level of proficiency with phone contact handling and active listening
- Ability to meet the needs of the patient by processing requests and referrals, providing efficient follow-up with the patient, pharmacy or other entity, as needed
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to both patients and employees, both verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Ability to navigate frequent change
- Ability to navigate multiple systems at the same time
- Ability to work between the hours of 7 AM-7 PM EST, including at least 1 mid-morning/afternoon shift per week
- 2-year college degree preferred
- Telemedicine experience preferred
