Overview

Job Location: Candidate must be located 90 miles fromPlano, TX. Candidate should expect to be in office 2 times per week. Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.

PepsiCo’s Enterprise Data Operations team is tasked with the responsibility of developing quality data collection processes, maintaining the integrity of our data foundations and enabling business leaders and data scientists across the company to have rapid access to the data they need for decision-making and innovation.

What PepsiCo Enterprise Data Operations does:

  • Maintain a predictable, transparent, global operating rhythm that ensures always-on access to high-quality data for stakeholders across the company
  • Responsible for day-to-day data collection, transportation, maintenance/curation and access to the PepsiCo corporate data asset
  • Work cross-functionally across the enterprise to centralize data and standardize it for use by business, data science or other stakeholders
  • Increase awareness about available data and democratize access to it across the company

Responsibilities

As a BI Architect, you will leverage your understanding of cloud architecture and BI requirements across solutions to architect solutions that maximize the performance and security of different solutions.

This role will require a balance of understanding the needs of the end user/business to be able to prioritize architecture decisions with that audience in mind. Additionally, the candidate will be curious to understand current architecture patterns while looking to optimize and streamline using new next generation tools. You will need to closely coordinate w/ IT partners on approved architecture patterns, outside partners driving new capability, BI team partners who are developing the front end, as well as data engineering, science and automation partners working on solutioning as well. This role will require strong coordination and communication efforts – you will be building and optimizing solutions and need to be able to partner well across the full ecosystem of folks managing and delivering digital products. 

  • Lead business partner on translating all dimensions and features of D&A products into metrics outputs that will drive business understanding and impact
  • Team leader – work with business intelligence developers and managers to push the boundaries and implement best practice, bringing best in class BI tool to our users
  • Team player – work with Data Engineering team to design scalable data model and architecture that leads to the best BI performance
  • Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Partners to deeply understand the data and how to model it appropriately
  • Contribute and maintain BI semantic model that enables self-service reporting capabilities and enable analysts to drive business decisions in an efficient and scalable manner
  • Explore new technologies and techniques that can expand BI team’s capability to serve business needs
  • This role will focus on performance optimization and making tradeoff among different tech stacks

Compensation and Benefits

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $125,000 - $217,500 based on a full-time schedule.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required, Advanced Degree preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant business intelligence and relational database experience
  • Strive to write elegant code, and are comfortable with picking up new technologies
  • Proficient in SQL and have basic understanding of at least one major programming language(eg. Python)
  • Experience with data modeling (Eg. Kimball, Inmon), data warehousing, and working with ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale, complex datasets
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (Eg. Power BI is highly preferred, Tableau)
