Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks a Vice President in Alpharetta, GA

Design, build and oversee large-scale virtual server environments in multiple locations to support development, production, and disaster recovery (DR) environments. Utilize extensive system deployment and migration experience leveraging automation (physical and virtual). Work with project managers and business stakeholders to design and develop software solutions to address business needs and propose changes to develop effective solutions. Examine requirements documents and create technical design documents and implementation plans for projects. Provide tier III subject matter expert support for Linux and virtualization platforms. Analyze data critical to capacity forecasting, asset management and procurement. Ensure that the technical environment is properly maintained and correctly designed. Mentor junior team members and collaborate openly and continuously with geographically dispersed team. ***Telecommuting permitted***

Requirements:

Requires a Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as an IT Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Analyst, Systems Administrator, or a closely related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience with: Linux; virtualization engineering (VMware); infrastructure automation and config management tools including Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and Chef; working in a mission critical production Linux environment; Redhat; Centos; Redhat Satellite Server; SUSE; Ubuntu; Vpshere; vRA; vROPS; vRO; Log insights; Jenkins; Docker; Kubernetes; OpenShift; AWS; GCP; DNS; DHCP; TCP/IP; UDP; Firewalls; Bash; Python; Ruby; Nagios; Zabbix; Prometheus; ELK stack; Splunk; MYSQL; MongoDB; PostgreSQL and Oracle Databases; GIT; SVN; Artifactory; Jboss; and Weblogic.
