FRM IT is a global IT organization with 200+ members spread over three continents. The department is responsible for developing and overseeing the enterprise technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to enable Morgan Stanley to comply with international regulatory frameworks for calculating regulatory capital levels, enforcing risk governance, and providing comprehensive reporting and disclosure. The department is executing an ongoing program of work to extend the capabilities of the Firm Risk platform to meet both internal and external requirements. Our clients include Risk Managers and Middle Office stake holders responsible for managing the Firm's Market, Credit and Operational risk.



Job Profile

·         As a lead of a software development squad, you will:

·         Design & develop innovative, reliable solutions using latest technology architecture
Take ownership of the technology platforms
Drive the modernization and agile agenda

·         Lead a team of 2-3 developers 
Collaborate and understand the needs and problems of our business lines

Who should apply?

You should apply if you have, at minimum, the following profile:

·         6 to 12 years of post-academic work experience with Java

·         A good knowledge of Unix/Linux platform and networking

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Preferred qualifications

·         Experience developing client-server, distributed, real-time, performance-critical, highly available, or large-scale systems

·         Experience building real time applications in Multithreading for a Unix/Linux platform

·         Experience working with the Spring framework

·         1 to  3 years of experience with the development of UI using Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, jQuery

·         Experience working with Source Code Management solutions like (ex. Git, Perforce, CVS)

·         Proficiency with Enterprise level database (DB2 /Snowflake / NoSQL MongoDB) and SQL

·         Problem solving/Mathematical/Analytical

·         Version control (e.g. Perforce, Git)

·         Experience in either IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE
Experience testing software (e.g. Unit testing, using frameworks, performance testing/ tuning)

·         Experience debugging or performing issue diagnosis.

 

    Good to have

    • Exposure to Investment management and Risk Management businesses
    • Experience with workflow technologies
    • Experience using Power BI and data analysis technologies
    • Experience using Python/ Jupyter notebooks
