The role
The Partner Investment Project Manager will play a pivotal role in coordinating stakeholders and subject matter experts within SoftwareOne to develop and execute go-to-market (GTM) plans that align with the strategic priorities of Microsoft investment programs and incentives. This role is responsible for ensuring timely project execution, overseeing project budgets, and tracking return on investment (ROI) to ensure alignment with business goals.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage partner investment projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with project scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, finance, and product development, as well as external partners, to ensure alignment of project goals and deliverables.
- GTM Plan Development: Collaborate with stakeholders and experts to create GTM plans that align with key priorities.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks early on and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Performance Monitoring: Use appropriate tools to track and monitor project progress and report regularly to senior management.
- Budget Management: Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
- ROI Tracking: Monitor and track ROI to ensure alignment with strategic investment objectives.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including plans, status reports, and evaluations.
Success Criteria:
- Timely Execution: Projects are delivered on time and meet all key milestones.
- Stakeholder Satisfaction: Positive feedback from both internal and external stakeholders on project outcomes.
- ROI Achievement: Demonstrated achievement of ROI in line with strategic goals.
- Risk Mitigation: Successful identification and mitigation of project risks with minimal disruption.
- Budget Compliance: Projects are completed within the designated budget with efficient use of resources.
What we need to see from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, ideally within the technology sector.
- Over 2 years of experience in technical strategic planning and support.
- Experience with partner investment projects is a strong plus.
- Expertise with Microsoft cloud products and a solid understanding of the Microsoft Partner ecosystem (Cloud, products, and Offerings).
- Knowledge of investment management principles and practices.
- Strong project management skills and experience managing complex projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred.
