We're seeking someone to join as a Java Developer in our Client and Investor Analytics team to work on the firm's strategic exposure management platform, eGTS, which is used to manage $10's of billions of margins calls every day. The Montreal team needs to expand, provide additional coverage in the North America region, and support/develop the next generation platform.
In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities.
This is a Software Engineering II position at Associate level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:
· Participate in the design, development, and testing of software applications.
· Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and deliver on software projects.
· Assist in troubleshooting and debugging software issues.
· Learn and apply best practices in software development methodologies.
· Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
· Document technical specifications and system configurations.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the software engineering team.
· Engage in training and upskilling activities to enhance technical skills.
What you’ll bring to the role:
· At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
· Proficiency in at Java 8 and above
· Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
· Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Basic knowledge of databases and data structures.
· Willingness to learn new technologies and tools
