Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
• Design and own the end-to-end test strategy for AEM-based web platforms across front end, back end, data, and APIs.
• Build, maintain, and scale automated test frameworks (UI, API, performance, accessibility, regression) to ensure defect prevention and rapid delivery.
• Develop automated test suites for AEM components, templates, workflows, and integrations (e.g., DAM, Launch/Tags, external APIs).
• Validate front end experiences for responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, SEO, accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA), and performance (Core Web Vitals).
• Test back end services including AEM Sling models, OSGi services, servlets, content ingestion pipelines, and search/indexing behaviours (Solr or AEM Cloud Search).
• Validate API contracts, REST/GraphQL endpoints, caching behaviour, and data integrity across Adobe and non Adobe services.
• Ensure structured content governance by verifying schema integrity, localisation readiness, metadata correctness, and authoring workflows.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.) with clear reporting and quality gates.
• Work with DevOps/SRE teams to assess non-functional requirements including performance, load, resilience, and failover scenarios.
• Proactively identify quality risks, contribute to root-cause analysis, and promote best practices in testability and engineering design.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and UX to continuously improve quality metrics, velocity, and release confidence.
Required Experience & Skills:
Possesses 8+ years of Software Testing experience, with proficiency in the following skill areas.
Front-End Quality Engineering
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) commonly used with AEM headless/hybrid architectures.
• Experience validating responsive design, rendering behaviours, and Core Web Vitals KPIs.
• Familiarity with tools such as Lighthouse, Axe, WebPageTest, and browser automation (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
Back-End & AEM Platform Testing
• Experience testing AEM components, Sling models, OSGi services, servlets, workflows, and replication mechanisms.
• Ability to validate content structures, DAM asset workflows, permissions, and authoring UI behaviour.
• Knowledge of error logging, dispatcher caching rules, CDN behaviours, and environment promotion pipelines.
API & Integration Testing
• Hands-on experience testing REST or GraphQL APIs, including contract validation, mocking, schema checks, and data consistency.
• Experience with tooling such as Postman, REST Assured, Karate, or similar frameworks.
• Understanding of authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT), rate limiting, and caching/CDN interactions.
Data Quality & Validation
• Knowledge of structured content models, metadata, localisation, search indexing, and content ingestion pipelines.
• Ability to validate entity relationships, data consistency, schema governance, and multi locale content behaviour.
• Experience with JSON, XML, content repositories (JCR), and search platforms (Solr/AEM Cloud Search).
Automation Mindset
• Demonstrated experience building scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing.
• Strong belief in shift-left practices and embedding quality early in design and development.
• Ability to integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows with reporting dashboards and quality gates.
• Experience with version control (Git), pipelines, and modern development workflows.
