The advancement of women in the workplace depends on every woman rising โ regardless of background, ethnicity or ability. But women of color earn less than our non-minority counterparts. And women of color in particular often gamble their personal safety and careers to come forward when theyโre on the receiving end of racist and sexist behavior at work. So how can we be better allies for one another in our shared cause of true gender equality? As a Filipina-American, a daughter of immigrants, and an immigrant myself based in Spain, I'm on a mission to facilitate inclusive conversations where DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) advocates and allies benefit. In this chat, I want you to walk away with:
- Why women/womxn are poised to lead the DEI conversation in companies
- Awareness of the systemic issues that affect women of color & the importance of allyship
- Easy micro-actions to be an inclusive, intersectional ally for other women at work
