I have been a Woman in Tech before it was a “thing”. I have a Computer Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin and have been in the Retail Technology sector for almost 20 years. When I first started my career back in the year 2000, I was one of 2 women on my team but the ONLY black woman in the company. Being the “first” or the “only” in most anything is a daunting task.
