Experience in ELK Stack, APM tools, and OpenTelemetry for multi-tier application tracing is essential. Instana APM experience is a bonus. WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU
- Work effectively with a team of 3 other Platform Reliability Engineers w/ various focuses on software development and cloud infrastructure , Scrum, and Architecture to modernize our platform
- Develop high-performance TypeScript applications and build and maintain shared TypeScript/JavaScript libraries.
- Implement and maintain scalable in AWS compute infrastructures with ephemeral artifacts using EC2 and ECS.
- Manage Cloudflare for enhanced security and performance using Cloudflare Security and Worker technologies.
- Specialties in managing an ELK stack for efficient logging, dashboards, applications alerts
- Utilize APM tools, especially OpenTelemetry. (Instana experience is a plus.)
- Implement best practices in reliability and observability.
- Automate deployment and management processes.
- 5+ years in reliability and / or platform engineering.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, AWS (ECS), Cloudflare, ELK Stack.
- Strong knowledge in APM tools and OpenTelemetry.
- Experience in multi-tier application tracing with staggered deployments.
- Excellent problem-solving and team collaboration skills.
- AWS Associate Developer Certification
- Experience with strongly, statically typed languages and OOP principles in C#
- Experience with Instana, Cloudwatch, ELK, Grafana
- Experience with Github Actions or Jenkins CI
- Experience with Anisible or AWS SSM
