CallRail’s Brand team is seeking a Content Marketing Editor/Writer to prepare (and sometimes write) marketing content for publication. In collaboration with our Brand team’s Content Marketing Manager and reporting to our Senior Manager of Copy and Content, your work will help our customers and prospects learn how to market with confidence.
With knowledge of our products and messaging and following SEO and B2B content best practices, your primary role will be to optimize CallRail content along its last mile. You will also write blog posts, case histories, webinar presentations, and more.
To succeed in this role, be a good editor, understand best practices for B2B marketing content, follow marketing and technology trends, and be prepared to learn your target audiences inside out. You should also be a self-starter, capable of striking the right balance between content quality and performance.
What You'll Do- Review content from internal and external writers
- Engage the design team for illustrations, photos, and graphics
- Ensure copy is aligned with content/SEO briefs, messaging, guidelines, and personas
- Address feedback
- Fine-tune it as needed
- Share with stakeholders
- Fix grammatical errors and typos
- Prep and publish upon final approval
- Become a CallRail platform and products subject matter expert
- Understand our solutions’ impact and value to customers
- Contribute to content marketing strategy
- Review and fine-tune social media copy before posting
- Make our content better, keeping it concise and consistent in quality
- Work closely with content and marketing teams to ensure on-time delivery
- Write compelling content that is both relevant to our personas and consistent with our brand voice
- Strong editorial proofreading, grammar, and copywriting skills with the ability to provide writing samples
- Some experience writing marketing and SaaS content targeting B2B decision makers
- Bachelor’s Degree (Journalism, English, Marketing, or Communications preferred)
- Highly organized and self-motivated with a high level of initiative
- Strong attention to detail, a flexible attitude, and a team player
- Experience with digital marketing, marketing technology, or marketing analytics topics, e.g., SEO, PPC, and marketing attribution
- Understanding of what makes content that is topically relevant, comprehensive, expert-level, authoritative, useful
- Experience using tools like Google Analytics to test and analyze the success of content and optimize based on results
- Experience using project management platforms, like Asana or Trello
