The Senior Manager, Product Planning and Pricing plays a pivotal role in defining and overseeing the product strategy, ensuring alignment of product development efforts with strategic initiatives and OKRs, and driving strategic pricing initiatives.
You will ensure that efforts across the organization are designing and delivering for the client and business. You will act as a coach and consultant to teams by both conducting research and ensuring consideration of key factors that will drive the success of products and solutions.
By gathering and leveraging insights from internal and external sources to inform and shape the product strategy, s/he will be the voice of the market to develop business cases for capability development, ensure go-to-market plans are developed and executed against, and drive pricing initiatives to optimize revenue. The incumbent will also work on independent projects to assess trends in the payments ecosystem and inform the overall product strategy.
From a day-to-day perspective, this person will:
- Systematically reviews the market, client insights and competitors to determine alignment of proposed capabilities with proposals, acting as the go/no go on strategic alignment and ensuring an understanding of client and downstream impacts of capabilities.
- Review the development roadmaps and associated EPICs proposed by solutions and product development teams, working with teams to develop business cases including competitive assessments, revenue projections, and go-to-market plans. This includes reviewing the quality of EPICs and providing feedback to leaders to ensure executive consumption.
- Review and update roadmap and progression in Jira Align, report on progress, and identify business impacting milestones.
- Collaborate with go-to-market teams to ensure strategies and plans are in place to drive client adoption.
- Review insights from various sources to identify gaps and client needs which require addressing.
- Execute market research and competitive benchmarking.
- Gather and document client feedback - including a formal insights programs
- Pricing: Oversee pricing initiatives aimed an maximizing revenue.
The ideal candidate will be a structured, analytical thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong interest in payments and digital technology. S/he enjoys working on a variety of initiatives and collaborating with people from different areas of the organization. S/he is thoughtful, curious and analytical with a desire to make an impact.
The role does require a strategic thinker who has an aptitude for technical products and can assist teams translate into high level business terms. The ideal candidate embodies a growth mindset with an aptitude for developing the team.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD)
- You have prior experience in product management/ pricing and go to market, working in a fast moving environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
- Experience in strategic planning, business case development, planning or product development.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a consultative manner.
- Knowledge and experience in financial services and digital services. Consulting or strategic planning background is a plus.
- Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills to influence direction and change attitudes / decisions of senior level decision makers.
- Strong understanding of the payment's ecosystem, specifically issuer side digital needs, including key players, partners, competition, and trends.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Must be a good story teller who understands executive level communication.
- Work independently as well as collaborate within a team environment.
- Natural ability to understand and articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Confident speaker with ability to present, interact, and connect with executives and senior staff.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with developing and presenting analysis, finance, and reporting.
- Ability to generate organizational momentum through creative and innovative solutions to problems and opportunities.
- Ability to support and work across multiple time zones.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 125,500.00 to 170,050.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
