Job Description SoftwareOne’s Talent and Academy team is looking for a talented, technically savvy, and creative Learning Experience Designer to support our global team in enhancing, iterating and building our curriculum. The aim of the SoftwareOne Academy is to provide opportunities for people who want to pursue a career in a global technology services organization, with a particular focus on young people entering the job market for the first time. Our team serves SoftwareOne globally. We provide learning initiatives and solutions that prepare candidates with no previous experience for career success. Our content contains both technical and soft skills, and combines self-directed, group learning and instructor-led learning opportunities. The Learning Experience Designer will deliver learning solutions based on the needs of the business. This involves a significant focus on curriculum design and curation, combined with content creation and a focus on crafting engaging learning experiences for the novice learner. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The candidate should be an adult learning expert who is creative, analytical, and customer focused. Core Accountabilities · Write engaging and effective content for a variety of different audiences ranging from novice to experienced · Work with key stakeholders and subject matter experts across SoftwareOne to understand the training needs and planned business outcomes · Work with subject matter experts to transfer expert knowledge to high-quality learning content · Create learning experiences to support role-based competency models and curriculum requirements · Use project management tools and skills to contribute to and make content development projects successful · Contribute to the development and implementation of content design templates · Create learning experiences, applying adult learning principles and systematic instructional design, to best fit the needs of the learner · Apply tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods · Participate in measuring learner performance and the effectiveness of learning materials · Manage Academy LXP users and content publication · Create learning experiences aimed at entry level (novice) employees · Build and iterate time limited and cohort-based programmes and adapt to the emerging needs Academy audiences · Convert highly specialized or technical content and requirements from SMEs into formats and modalities that are effective for novice learners. · Define business requirements-based learning outcomes and instructional goals aimed at the needs of novice learners. · Contribute to instructional research and learner analysis within the Academy · Provide exercises and activities suitable for the needs of Academy cohorts and entry level learners · Some experience with authoring tools and techniques for creating learning assets including basic image and video editing · Maintain and monitor all course content, assessments, and reporting data within the Academy learning management system · Work closely with Academy Managers and SMEs to ensure existing learning content remains relevant to the changing business needs and outcomes of SoftwareOne · Support continual process improvement within the Academy team to ensure we are building high-quality, scalable programs. Skills Requirement · Good interpersonal skills · Able to write clearly, for a global audience/non-English speakers · Able to present technical concepts in plain English · Able to adapt communication style to a variety of audience e.g. requirements capture to Technical SME and content to novice learners. · Able to adapt or make use of a variety of modalities when creating learning experiences · Able to apply learning theories and instructional design models to learning experiences · Able to apply basic visual design skills such as editing, resizing, and optimizing images · Able to document learning designs and experiences using methods such as storyboarding and prototyping · Able to apply a User Experience approach to building solutions · Able to work effectively in a distributed global team, making best use of online collaboration tools such as MS Teams and Miro · Able to manage own time and resolve problems or troubleshoot with minimal supervision · Able to respond quickly in a high-pressure and high-volume environment. · Able to plan, schedule, sequence and organise learning content to meet the needs of the Aca
