Our Payroll team manages all aspects of PwC’s payroll process. As part of our team, you’ll be responsible for tasks necessary to accomplish PwC’s payroll processing objectives including payroll preparation, developing reports and maintaining payroll records and systems. - Managing Payroll operations, establishing accurate and timely payment of staff, in compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding withholdings and deductions;
- Collaborating with the outsourced provider (Dayforce) to streamline payroll processes and address any issues;
- Working closely with business teams and key stakeholders, both management and operational, to establish industry-leading processes for payroll and related programs, including effective internal controls and automation of workflows to enable efficient, accurate, and timely processing of payroll;
- Managing the implementation of new tools/automation, financial controls, policies, and leading industry practices across the functional group to include process improvements and efficiencies related to Payroll deliverables;
- Understanding and knowledging federal, state, and local payroll regulations, labor laws, and tax requirements to establish compliance;
- Developing relationships with a diverse, cross-functional group of stakeholders across a global network to drive and influence transformational change and solutions;
- Demonstrating ability to work with all levels of stakeholders;
- Serving as a trusted advisor to Finance leadership to provide outstanding support, meet the expectations of client groups, and achieve common goals;
- Collaborating with accounting to assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting duties related to payroll;
- Working closely with leaders, to interpret results, identify trends, and develop/implement strategies to combat issues;
- Maintaining and establishing pay policies, payroll calendars, checklists, tax deadlines, and procedural documentation;
- Managing initiatives and firm-wide projects;
- Making recommendations and implementing processes to enable cross-border business in new models and territories;
- Managing a team of payroll professionals in different regions, establishing high performance and collaboration;
- Resolving issues, accurately answering customer inquiries and proactively reporting potential issues that may impact financial results;
- Being actively involved in payroll inquiries and audits from federal, state, and local taxing authorities;
- Demonstrating proven ability to build proactive and effective teams, fostering inter- organizational work with a continuous improvement mindset;
- Being a team player who is able to work in a virtual/global team, working virtually and navigating complex international and matrixed organizations; and,
- Fostering an environment where team members are able to share feedback, suggestions and process improvements.
