About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use):12 About the Role: The Team: The Senior Director, Energy Sales Specialist will be a member of the high growth Corporates Americas Commercial team within S&P Global’s Market Intelligence division. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of companies, from start-ups to mature Fortune 500 companies, across a diverse set of industries. Responsibilities and Impact: As a Senior Director, Energy Sales Specialist, you are an important part of our team. You will be working alongside and in partnership with the Corporates Americas Commercial team focused on driver revenue growth across the CIQ Solutions Energy and Power Evaluator product suite. This role is responsible for providing subject matter and product expertise to clients and prospects, working with companies that include everything from emerging start-up companies to consulting firms and global Energy organizations. The Senior Director, Energy Sales Specialist will develop GTM strategy around the CIQ Solutions Energy and Power Evaluator product suite, meet with clients, host events, and collaborate with business partners.
- Operate as a Sales Product Specialist alongside the Corporates Americas Commercial organization.
- Support and manage an end-to-end solutions sales process across the Capital IQ Solutions Energy and Power Evaluator portfolio of products
- Meet and exceed the Product specific annual sales quota by developing and executing a successful GTM strategy
- Responsible for supporting and initiating inbound leads and outbound sales efforts
- Execute outbound sales strategies through collaboration with Sales Development Representatives and Marketing teams
- Be entrepreneurial -- stay current with industry news to develop marketing initiatives and create client events to attract prospects
- Utilize sales enablement tools (Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, SalesLoft, etc.) to create professional, tailored prospecting strategies
- 10+ years of experience in business development with a focus on solution selling.
- Experience working with clients within the Commodities and Energy sectors, in addition to broader Corporates market
- Experience selling Desktop and Datafeed solutions and analytical tools
- Experience in managing and growing business within complex organizations
- Willingness to approach every problem as an entrepreneur with grit, creativity, and persistence
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and Salesforce
