Overview: The mission of the After Market team is to increase productivity and efficiency for our customers in line with Waters core value in delivering benefits to our customers. As the Chemistry Business Development Specialist, you will be a key contributor to After Market team in the fastest growing region in the world, Southeast Asia. In this critical sales role, you will utilise your sales expertise and technical knowledge of the Pharmaceutical, Chemical Analysis and other industries to promote Waters high value chemistry solutions into these industries. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for meeting sales AOP of Waters consumable product in SEA countries
- Responsible for the maintenance and growth of the business according to sales targets
- Develop new accounts/contacts through pre-sales activities
- Develop and maintain key account customer relationships through regular sales visits
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the Waters and competitive account base
- Manage the sales leads and opportunities through CRM platform
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge base of the markets with regards to customers, competitors, environment, etc.
- Development of local competitive knowledge and local market intelligence by partnering with local teams and resources
- Strategic account management, lead deal planning and drive account penetration for all support solutions in the account, competitively drive Waters's presence and influence sales
- Executive calling skills, network with executives within accounts to foster and facilitate business growth opportunities
- Collaborate closely with field sales, service and other business organizations to develop and implement account plans for strategic accounts within region
- Bachelors, Masters or other University degree or equivalent. Degree in science and/or business field highly preferred; may consider applicants with equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.
- 5+ years direct sales or marketing experience with a demonstrated track record of success in sales revenue
- UPLC, Mass Spec, field sales and/or marketing experience is a plus
- Strong sales negotiating and customer engagement skills
- Ability to develop and drive business strategy based on market need
- Channel partner management skill
- Value proposition of Waters Chemistry products to meet customer needs
- Management of sales leads and opportunities
- Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
- Outstanding presentation, planning and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of analytical instrumentation preferred
