The Global Incentive Compensation Operations team is the global leader for sales commission policies and processes for all of our direct and indirect sales teams, including North America, LACA, EMEA, APAC, and Japan.Salesforce utilizes our platform for sales enablement, customer sales and the sales commissioning processes. We are hiring for a Manager, Global Incentive Compensation.Are you an outgoing individual that is willing to roll up your sleeves to drive process improvement and lead the Global Compensation Close team through effective cross-functional alignment on large-scale projects? If so, this could be the ideal role for you! This role will be heavily involved in the Global Incentive Compensation close process. Focus areas include representing the team in cross-functional meetings and functional project management of large-scale projects impacting Global Incentive Compensation, problem solving compensation close issues and completing monthly audit deliverables. Key skills needed to succeed in the role include a deep knowledge of the end-to-end Global Incentive Compensation process/systems/tools (i.e. Xactly), problem-solving, being a dedicated self-starter with good leadership characteristics and being ready and willing to challenge the norm to drive process improvement. Technical skills (i.e. Tableau, SQL, Python) are a plus.Responsibilities:
- Project Management focus representing the team in large-scale cross-functional projects impacting Global Incentive Compensation Close (from development to implementation)
- Problem-solving Global Incentive Compensation Close issues
- Utilize Salesforce on Salesforce systems (i.e. Tableau, SOQL, FCM) to challenge the status quo and drive efficiencies across Global Incentive Compensation teams and internal compensation audits
- Lead effort to reform global compensation close metrics
- Represent the Global Incentive Compensation close team to showcase metrics to upper level leadership
- Being a dedicated self-starter to drive process improvement initiatives
- Lead global incentive compensation process alignment and documentation
- Serve in a leadership role to help train other members of the team
- Assist in completion of monthly global compensation close audit deliverables
- Perform User Acceptance Testing to confirm commission system changes/updates are working as designed prior to deployment
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Accounting or related field, 7+ years of work experience
- Advanced end-to-end knowledge of the global compensation close process and timelines
- Advanced Xactly ICM knowledge
- Advanced Salesforce knowledge
- Experience leading projects from development to effective implementation
- Strong problem solving, analytical and superior critical thinking skills
- Communicates effectively across functional groups and has ability to bring teams together to drive effective issue resolution
- Detail and process-oriented
- Responsive to tight deadlines and the ability to prioritize appropriately
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Advanced skills in MS Excel: Model building, use of advanced formulas and arrays, pivot tables, data manipulation, VBA
- Other technical skills (i.e. Tableau, SQL, Python) a plus
