- Under general supervision and in accordance with standardized procedures, the nurse practitioner performs physical examinations and treats common episodic and chronic health care problems, counsels patients and families, monitors patient progress, and assists with clinical research projects
- The nurse practitioner/physician assistant works in collaboration with other health care team members, consulting and referring as appropriate, but retains responsibility for ongoing clinical
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- Must be a graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program
- California Registered Nurse (RN) license, California Nurse Practitioner (NP) license, and Furnishing License Certification
- National NP board certification in aligned specialty with the practice area
- BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six months of hire date
- PALS certification
- 1+ years of full-time work experience as a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in an Emergency Department
