Job Description What you get to do in this role: ServiceNow is looking for a highly self-motivated Revenue Manager who has strong technical and revenue operational experience, and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-task-oriented environment. This person will play a critical role in managing or supporting cross-functional strategic initiatives, focusing on operationalizing and automating the quote-to-revenue processes for new go-to-market initiatives.
- Serve as the link across all operational, finance, and accounting teams to collaboratively and creatively operationalize new sales motions and new routes to market
- Create scalable processes across the functions while also ensuring business transactions are appropriately accounted for
- Manage various automation and digitalization initiatives, including creating design requirements and overseeing user acceptance testing to ensure successful project rollout
- Assist in resolution of technical revenue issues and write related technical memos
- Identify opportunities to improve, accelerate, and enhance the revenue cycle, and drive these initiatives to completion
- Work with a global team to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and teamwork
- Develop and deliver revenue recognition training on revenue guidance, policies, and best practices
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) or similar from four-year college or university
- 7+ years relevant accounting experience, including process and system experience, preferably with a background in a Big 4 public accounting firm
- Proficient understanding of (US GAAP) software revenue recognition including extensive experience in the application of ASC 606 and working knowledge of all other current authoritative literature related to revenue recognition.
- Active CPA designation and relevant industry accounting experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple simultaneous initiatives.
- Ability to effectively work other functional groups including Deal Desk, Sales, FP&A, Marketing, and IT
- Demonstrated experience in interacting with all levels of management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office products
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
