As an Expedia Group Legal & Corporate Affairs (ELCA) Intern, you’ll work on meaningful projects that innovate travel, and be a part of a supportive culture of inclusivity and impact. By joining the ELCA Internship Program you’ll have the opportunity to work directly on key public affairs projects and gain a well-rounded experience from our in-house public policy practitioners and lawyers who support a range of policy and legal aspects of the business at Expedia Group globally. We are looking for candidates who are curious and keen to learn how to work in a fast-paced travel technology company and discover the various roles in-house public policy practitioners and lawyers play. About the Internship Program:
- Onboarding: Support from our Emerging Talent & Careers team, introductions to Expedia Group, laptop set up, plus an introduction to legal and government affairs practice areas
- Social events: Regular fun events for all interns to get to know each other during the program
- Leadership Series: Opportunities to directly ask questions and learn about the career journeys of our leaders during exclusive intern-only Q&A events
- Learning Series: Interactive workshops to build professional & soft skills, and to support development, including topics such as personal branding and mental wellness
- Support: Coaching and advice, provided by managers, navigators (buddies) and Emerging Talent & Careers
- Project work: Interns enjoy a great level of responsibility and complete incredible projects
- You'll work with an ELCA member on projects to gain greater understanding of the plethora of work involved to advance Expedia Group’s public policy agendas
- You will work on a variety of matters, which may include:
- Issues Management
- Regulatory monitoring & reporting
- Policy programme development
- Strategic communications execution
- You'll engage with the global ELCA team providing you with international experience
- Must be available to start to commit to the full program dates:
- Singapore: 10th June - 30th Aug 2024
- Must be based in Singapore.
- Helpful to have effective communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of partners (e.g., internal, external, technical, non-technical people)
- Helpful to have writing and comprehension skills to synthesize and condense large amounts of information in a concise and structured way
- Helpful to have a passion for law, public policy, and its impact on technology
- Helpful to show an understanding of trends in travel and technology, and challenges that technology platforms can face.
