We have a high visibility opportunity for a Cell Leader in our Radio Frequency Microelectronics factory. Take on full accountability for the safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance of a multi-cell/multi-shift operation. The Hybrids Cell Leader will report to the Value Stream Manager and be accountable for the daily management and direction of a team of Production Operators. The Cell Leader will be tasked to generate, maintain, and execute clear operational schedules, priorities, goals while collaborating with functional management to allow for continuous manufacturing of Hybrid assemblies within a process area. This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. This position is an onsite role. Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Direct supervision of 15+ production operators.
- Collaboration and communication with upstream and downstream Cell Leaders and leadership.
- Utilization of knowledge of manufacturing principles, manufacturing support team roles and responsibilities and manufacturing systems in support of initiatives, projects, improvements, and efforts.
- Personnel performance input for all related functions and career development of team members including coaching and mentoring.
- Perform a wide variety of sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, failure triage support and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow.
- Strategic planning development for short term execution as well as long range planning.
- Define and Execute priorities relating to safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Interact with support engineering, supply chain, and quality with respect to program schedules.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
- Previous experience leading a direct team with specific deadlines, requirements, or deliverables.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and industrial engineering practices
- Knowledge of quality requirements relating to manufacturing environments
- Superior communication skills
- Understanding of sequencing for fabrication, assembly, installation, testing and other manufacturing operations in relation to similar type of products or processes
