Conducts activities in accordance with Rockwell Collins Credo, Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct, and other established Rockwell Collins policies. Perform proper documentation of all task as per Corporate/Service Center requirement Follows all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to Service Center Operations. Understands safety requirements and performs duties in accordance with all safety procedures. Sets up and operates precision test equipment for alignment, troubleshooting and testing of avionics equipment. Possesses working knowledge of standard test equipment, oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc., as well as a understanding of custom made test equipment including automatic test equipment. Perform Test station calibration, troubleshooting and test equipment replacement. Have an advance knowledge of various avionics systems, electronics components and associated circuitry. Performs avionics repair operations consisting of testing, disassembly, assembly and component replacement in accordance with authorized documentation. Perform complex troubleshooting of avionics equipment. Examines customer units for potentially defective parts or conditions causing impairment or prevention of proper equipment operation. Verifies that repairs or modifications performed on customer equipment conform to Rockwell Collins Quality and Workmanship Standards. Properly prioritizes jobs in his/her purview and manages time to meet production needs. Understands the importance of accurate paperwork and how it impacts the repair process. Understands the importance of continually improving quality. Able to inspect and train others on workmanship standards and determine areas of improvement in shop quality/processes. Prepares estimate of repair costs for customer, may be required to communicate technical and financial aspects of repair costs both in verbal and written form to internal and external customers. Train/guide junior technicians on daily routine work and troubleshooting avionics equipment Knowledge on accounting indicators and able to assess warranty and to provide estimate quotation to Customer. Understand current workload and production needs to assist Lead techs in determining how to best use available resources to meet established goals. Work with other levels of supervision to prioritize work, plan for future projects and determine the best utilization of personnel and resources in their work area. Able to Wet lab new procedures and provide evaluation feedback to engineering.
