Job Description
- Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting following company policies and procedures.
- Manage and review accounting transactions (general ledger reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation)
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and initiatives (collaborate with FPA & Operations for budget tracker, and Capex tracker )
- Support in the implementation of accounting software upgrades or new systems.
- Handle special projects and ad hoc requests as assigned by management.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policy, tax regulations, and industry-specific guideline
- Review standard cost for new items, and validate item mapping as per nature daily
- Performing month-end cost accounting close and ensuring all deadlines are met (month-end schedule cut-off, liaising with Costing, Wh, and Ops team )
- Support in review for costing journal and report ( cost of good manufacture & cost of goods sold reports)
- Responsible for managing the hardcopy/ supporting document with proper and tidy filling.
- Responsible for participating and providing data/ reconciliation for statutory audit, tax audit, and internal audit
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g.SAP, Oracle).
- Good Microsoft Office skills especially in Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
