We are looking for a talented Parts Interpreter to join our team in Pakenham, VIC. You will be responsible for assisting all Distribution Business customers, technicians, and other parts personnel in securing needed parts and supplies under moderate supervision.

Join a high-performing, tight-knit 2-person team managing both Parts and Warehouse operations, with opportunities to broaden your knowledge across the entire parts department.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Act as the first contact for customers, addressing their needs and issues promptly
  • Parts interpretation and the provision of required parts
  • Processing and receiving orders and quotes in a timely manner
  • Advise on part suitability and talk customers through the best solution for the job
  • Carries out customer parts counter duties including receiving parts calls, greeting, and assisting walk-in customers, completing and processing paperwork and handling check, and credit card transactions
  • Support day-to-day operations including stock management, shipping/receiving, inventory tasks, and other parts-related duties as required

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Parts interpreter experience in an Automotive or similar type industry
  • Customer service and effective communication
  • Build strong customer relationships, problem-solve, and collaborate with key stakeholders
  • Engine knowledge is an advantage
  • Ability to learn new software and processes
  • High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and troubleshot complex tasks
  • Forklift ticket would be highly desirable
  • Valid car drivers license is required

QUALIFICATIONS

This role will require the successful applicant to be able to work as a team to ensure all business needs are met both in the procuring and delivering our internal and external customers with the right parts at the right time, all whilst delivering great customer service.

Successful applicant will be required to perform other duties under moderate supervision that may include managing stock levels, shipping and receiving parts, warehouse activities, inventory management related tasks, core processing, or other parts-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirement to work effectively in a small 2 Person high achieving team, This team will be responsible for managing both Parts and Warehouse operations.

Ability to quickly build strong customer relationships, problem solve and work effectively with key stakeholders with low to moderate supervision.

Pakenham is a small branch with a tight knit, high performing team, while this role is for a Parts Interpreter, it will require work to be completed in the Parts Warehouse as well. This role presents with a unique opportunity to learn different parts of the business and grow your knowledge with regard to the whole parts department.
