Vice PresidentLinux SysAdmin
Morgan Stanley is looking for a Linux SysAdmin to join the team to help us maintain and grow our existing environment. The existing environment consists of a mixture of open source and in-house written Perl and Python.
You will be involved in evaluation, certification, integration, and maintenance of numerous products, including hardware, Red Hat Linux, configuration management, system services (DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc.), and a variety of in-house developed tools.
Role Profile and Responsibilities
- You will be working in and supporting the Production plant
- You are a self-starter, able to act like an owner, prioritize requests, collaborate with others, and manage ambiguity.
- You will have experience of managing, deploying and debugging large scale production environments.
- You will be part of a global, follow the sun, oncall rotation for production issues..
- You will write and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
- You will have experience with Change Management and Problem management practices.
- You enjoy working with people in a very collaborative space.
