The data analyst role will be responsible for leading a team of data quality professionals in gathering and analysing data attributes using specialist tools to generate information that helps make decisions. The Data Analyst will be responsible for maintaining data accuracy and lineage and look for trends, patterns, and anomalies within it. This role will also facilitate the process of working with the Report Owners, Technology, and other team (e.g., ODC, Compliance, Government and Public Affairs, Legal, MIT, etc.) to ensure the accuracy and quality of regulatory report data and ways to automate data validation tasks.
• Responsibilities: Lead a team of data quality analysts in finding and removing corrupted data and fixing inconsistencies and related problems
• Perform data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data in our regulatory reports.
• Responsible for ensuring data’s quality and fitness for purpose of the organization's regulatory reporting data assets, including working with Tech teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Following all the rules and procedures related to capturing discrepancies, reporting and reconciliation of data issues.
• Perform source system data analysis to manage source to target data mapping.
• Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.
• Work on creating new rules / processes to perform data profiling and analysis of data quality against data quality metrics.
• Should be able to work on analysing raw data to perform proper and accurate data mapping between datasets.
• Utilizing BI tools including Rapid SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau etc for data Intelligence and analysis.
• Working with multiple stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, automation, and devise data quality rules. Ability to work in an agile environment and participate in backlog review and Sprint planning sessions, following Agile methodology
• Facilitate data and business requirements based on the regulatory reports by interacting with business stakeholders
• Provide metrics and presentations to provide status of data quality work and initiatives.
• Provide support to data engineering and product development projects
• Cross- train to perform other related business unit tasks

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree (BA/BS) or equivalent qualification.
• 5-8 years of relevant work experience in data analysis/ data validation
• Excellent knowledge of Fixed Income Securities (Bonds, debts) and Reference data (ISIN, CUSIP, CIK’s and LEI’s)
• Knowledge of SQL, MS EXCEL and/or Access, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau will be preferred.
• Should have excellent verbal and writing skills, project and time management skills, ability to work in teams and attention to detail.
• Self-starter who understands what needs to be done and is capable managing their own and their direct reports schedule (if applicable). Ability to work in a self-directed and independent manner.
• Client focused, proactive, and results oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong experience working in Agile methodology
• SQL, JIRA, and Agile methodology experience a plus.
• Knowledge of Moody’s rating systems, analysis tools and operational processes a plus
