Business Division Profile:
Morgan Stanley's Corporate Treasury Division is responsible for providing corporate-finance advisory services to senior management and the business units; maintaining the firm's liquidity; accessing multi-currency short-term and long-term financing; optimizing the firm's capital base; coordinating our relationships with rating agencies, lenders, and creditors; managing the firm's foreign exchange and interest rate exposure; and acquiring adequate insurance for the firm's activities.

About Treasury Technology:
Treasury Technology is pursuing multiple high profile strategic initiatives with wide reaching impact, and building a class-leading technology platform for the efficient management of the firm's liquidity, funding, and capital in an evolving business landscape. We are looking to build a strong team of developers that would focus on building a world-class platform to manage Treasury's Assets and Liabilities portfolio with specific focus on intraday liquidity and funding management

Role:
A successful candidate would have a passion for solving business problems. She/He would have a proven track record of delivering high quality software within complex business domains, of forming close partnerships with senior business and technology colleagues, have experience in leading small to mid-size development teams across multiple concurrent projects, providing local leadership, mentoring, hiring, and training. This role requires the candidate to be part of Treasury Technology's architecture discussions. and hence should have had significant hands-on engineering experience building large N-tier systems, with experience on large databases, data analytics, distributed caching, and related distributed development methodologies. This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting and fast growing team, to work on unique, high profile projects and systems using the latest technologies, to build a deep understanding of multiple business lines, and to have a dramatic impact on Morgan Stanley's business.

QUALIFICATIONS


A full stack developer/tech lead with:
* 9-14 years of strong development skills in enterprise server-side programming skills in Java
* Experience designing and building enterprise scale and real time systems
* Experience with SQL, databases and data modelling
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with team members globally
* Experience managing small to mid size development teams
* Experience in Web technologies such as Angular, HTML5, Javascript and related frameworks is highly desirable
* Knowledge of financial markets, liquidity and funding and familiarity with Fixed Income products is preferable
