As a black, queer womxn who is the Head of Community for HER App, the largest social and dating app for LGBTQ+ womxn and queer people, I’ve worked from the ground up to launch and grow a network that supports the wants and needs of over 5 million LGBTQ+ womxn, trans and non-binary folks who don't always get the opportunity to bring their voices to the table. From fostering online communities and in-person events to managing social media, content creation, email marketing, and customer support, I’ve discovered that when our users engage in the community we’ve built, they want to know that their opinions are being heard.
