I am a lifelong nerd. My interests have bounced from music to languages to coding to engineering. This has caused endless frustration and burnout as I’ve tried to mold these skills and passions into an ‘acceptable’ career. Rather than only seeing how these passions differ from one another, I am now able to see the sheer power that arises when they merge. There’s a sense of empowerment when one owns all parts of her journey and channels those insights to go farther, faster.
In this chat, I want you to walk away with:
- The knowledge that you don’t have to go in a straight line to be as successful as your peers
- Actionable steps you can take to identify the main thread that connects your passions
- Hacks to develop habits to help you quickly vet if a passion has matured enough to become a career
