How PowerToFly is celebrating the holidays

At PowerToFly, the holidays aren’t just about gift exchanges, extravagant parties, or who can win the annual ugly sweater contest (though we do love a good sweater). We focus on something more meaningful: giving back while getting to know each other better.

As a fully remote organization, we work across countries, cultures, and continents. We celebrate a variety of holidays, hold unique beliefs, and come from different backgrounds.

Yet, there’s one tradition we can all rally behind — our “Secret Snowflake.” Each employee is randomly assigned a teammate and donates $10 to a charity that aligns with their interests. What makes this opportunity so special is the effort it takes to learn about one another. It’s more than just a donation — it’s a chance to dig deeper into what our teammates care about most.

This year, we continued the tradition by supporting charities dedicated to environmental protection, animal welfare, education, and more. From the heartfelt laughs during our Snowflake “reveal” to the joy of seeing the impact of our collective donations, Secret Snowflake has once again embodied the true spirit of the season.
