Veterans Day, originally called Armistice Day, is celebrated every year on November 11th. This date was first proclaimed a US holiday by president Widrow Wilson in 1919, exactly one year after the cease-fire between Germany and the Allied Nations effectively ended World War I.
At present, Veterans Day is generally celebrated with a day off from work or school to dedicate time to honor those who have served in the armed forces. Although this holiday comes just once a year, at PowerToFly, we believe it is crucial to support veterans, active duty military, military spouses, and their families all year round.
So, in commemoration of Veterans Day 2022, we’ve put together this list of companies that will be honoring Veterans Day this year as well as providing support for veteran employees and their families all year long.
CDW—
“CDW proudly supports veterans, active military and their families in the community as well as the workplace. To celebrate Veterans Day, MARC is hosting an event with the theme ‘Adapt and Overcome’ featuring guest speaker J.R. Martinez.”
