Meet the Speakers

Asia Jackson

Asia Jackson is an actress, producer, and content creator based in Los Angeles (CA). Growing up a military brat, Asia spent her childhood all over the world. She is of African-American and Indigenous Filipino (Igorot) descent. Asia taught herself to code at eleven years old and was studying computer science & information systems before entering the entertainment industry.

On television, you’ve seen Asia on Modern Family, The Young & The Restless, Speechless, Superstore, Alone Together, Lifetime’s Stalked By A Reality Star, and most recently Blumhouse’s Nocturne on Amazon Prime. She also has a YouTube channel where she regularly uploads engaging and transparent content about fashion, beauty, and mental health.

In 2016, Asia created the viral movement #MagandangMorenx, literally translated to “beautiful brown skin”, to challenge colorism and celebrate the diversity of beauty in Filipino communities. As an activist and content creator, Asia has been covered in numerous international publications such as Vogue, TIME Magazine, CNN, NBC News, Marie Claire, Elle, Glamour, and many more. She has also been invited to speak at universities including (but not limited to) Brown University, Columbia, UCLA, USC, UC Berkeley, and Syracuse University.

In 2022, Asia founded SKNFLUENCR–an online editorial platform and podcast that explores fashion and beauty at the intersection of race, identity, and culture.
