More than 4,200 books faced censorship last year, marking a 65% increase from the previous year, according to the American Library Association (ALA). This surge in censorship occurs while the average full-time author earns only $10,000 annually. ADAM POWELL is the Co-Founder of Allstora and The Rainbow Book Bus. Following undergrad at Harvard, Powell went on to work in marketing and talent partnerships for seven years, before launching ShopQueer.co in 2022 alongside his partner, Eric Cervini. Prior to co-founding ShopQueer.co, Adam was a producer at Collectively, a creator and brand marketing agency. When not driving The Rainbow Book Bus across the United States, he can be found performing as his drag alter ego, Aubergine!
