What We Learned in 2024 and What We Need to Succeed in 2025
Across most measures women’s progress toward equality has stalled. While women are now more likely than men to pursue higher education, they are not equally represented in workforce participation or in leadership. In this talk Tami Foreman, Communications Executive, Campfire Consulting, will discuss the different kinds of power, why it’s important for women to have and wield power in a variety of institutions and what we can all do to support women in gaining that power.

Tami Forman is chief evangelist at How We Do It, a newsletter and community for people building great careers and meaningful lives. She is an expert on gender equity and women’s participation in the paid labor market. In 2016 she founded Path Forward, a nonprofit that empowers family caregivers to return to paid work. She led Path Forward for seven years, working with more than 100 companies, including Amazon, Apple, Netflix, SAP, Walmart, and Pepsi, to hire thousands of people through returnships. Quinn is the author of 2 books, made it to the 2nd round of Shark Tank auditions four times, been featured on the Entrepreneurs Elevator Pitch TV show as well Essence, Black Enterprise, Vision and Purpose and Empowering Women to Speak Out Magazines.
Quinn is a proud member of the National Speakers Association (NSA), sits on the Board the Global Black Women Chamber of Commerce (GBWCC), was named 1 of 20 Black Women Entrepreneurs to Watch and a Distinguished Alumni from her high school in 2021. Quinn has taught Speech Communications for 5 years at Coppin State University, earned a Bachelor's Degree from West Chester University and a Masters from Howard University in Washington DC.
