Giving names to certain lived experiences can help us set and measure goals, enable solidarity, and create community. But labels have limitations, too, and can exclude, confuse, and “other” people who don’t identify with them. That’s certainly true of the myriad of terms used to describe the nearly 25% of the U.S. population that is connected with Latin America: Latinx, Latino, Latina, Latine, Hispanic, and more.

So we created a history lesson that gives context behind those terms, then invited an expert to speak to us about why companies should prioritize Latinx representation (and how they can get started).
