For this fireside chat, please Kevin Traw, Vice President of Optum Financial Services Contact Center at UnitedHealth Group as he delves into the crucial steps for veterans as they embark on their professional journey post-military service. Before joining UnitedHealth Group, Kevin spent 20 years on Active Duty in the United States Air Force primarily in Aircraft Maintenance. He has been an advocate for early career hiring, including HBCUs & Women in STEM, veteran hiring, military spouse hiring and disability inclusion hiring. He has directly hired over 100+ people from those groups and advocated for change across UHG in hiring practices.

Kevin Traw is the Vice President of Optum Financial Services Contact Center. He is responsible for 3000 employees, supporting 30M+ customer interactions on: Health Savings Accounts, Flexible Savings Accounts, Health Reimbursement Accounts, Transit and Utility Reimbursements and Healthy Living Options. Prior to this role, Kevin spent the last 9 years as an individual contributor and leader in Pharmacy Operations, Quality, Pharmacy Network Auditing, Data Governance, and Capital Planning functions since joining UnitedHealth Group in January 2014. Before joining UnitedHealth Group, he spent 20 years on Active Duty in the United States Air Force primarily in Aircraft Maintenance. He held a variety of roles from the field level through the strategic headquarters of both the US Air Force (Pentagon) and North Atlantic Treaty Organization Military Headquarters (Mons, Belgium). Kevin has been an advocate for early career hiring, including HBCUs & Women in STEM, veteran hiring, military spouse hiring and disability inclusion hiring. He has directly hired over 100+ people from those groups and advocated for change across UHG in hiring practices. Kevin enjoys running, hiking, backpacking and spending time with his wife Diane and son Kevin Jr.
