Adjunct Professor Music History, Rowan University and Adjunct Professor

Karen has spent almost twenty years in the fields of Holocaust Studies, Catholic-Jewish relations, Jewish Studies and Musicology. She has recently accepted a position as the Director of Research for the Defiant Requiem Foundation, which focuses on preserving the legacy of musicians from the Terezin concentration camp. Karen is also currently adjunct professor of Musicology at Rowan University and Adjunct Professor of Jewish Studies at Stockton.

Since receiving her PhD from Catholic University in 2015, Karen has become known for speaking both in the United States and Europe on interreligious relations and Genocide studies. She is also a frequent guest on the podcast History Hack, and has several upcoming podcasts that will be released. Karen has presented at various conferences both nationally and internationally. Once the pandemic is over, Karen will be spending a month as a fellow at Uppsala University in Sweden as a visiting fellow to research Jewish culture in Sweden post-World War II.
