Lisa Laventure-Bernier brings over 20 years of experience in the defense, aviation and medical industries. In her current role at Raytheon as Resource Manager, Cyber Protection Solutions she is responsible for staffing, retention, training and development. We talk to Lisa about what companies must do in order to not only hire but also retain and develop a diverse team especially women in tech and cybersecurity. Lisa Laventure-Bernier
Ms. Laventure-Bernier brings over 20 years of experience in the defense, aviation and medical industries. She began her career as an Air Traffic Assistant with the Federal Aviation Administration, after 9/11 was a Crisis Management Watch Officer for Homeland Security. She started at Raytheon in 2008, holding several roles to include Information Assurance Manager for Special Programs.
She was Section Lead in Systems Security Engineering and Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) Cyber Lead where she contributed to the technical oversight. She was recognized for the quality and on-time delivery of CDRLs in support of Risk Management Framework.
Lisa was also Senior Principal Cybersecurity Engineer within Software as the Deputy Cyber Lead, Patriot Missile System supporting proposals, reviews and Independent Research and Development (IRAD). She provided guidance and recommended solutions in support of cyber resiliency efforts, current threats, and supported Assessment and Authorization events.
In her current role as Resource Manager, Cyber Protection Solutions she is responsible for staffing, retention, training and development. She is the Innovation Foundry Site Lead for Andover, receiving 2023 Innovators Award for her Innovation and Technology contributions fostering the culture of our future generations.
She has been recognized as an invaluable partner for collaboration in building the Department of Defense (DoD) Skillbridge and Warrior Care Programs, bringing innovative ways for improvement, ensuring process and advocating diversity of candidates, hosting the most candidates within RTX 2023.
She was also Philips Healthcare DoD Program Manager, leading their certification efforts, catapulting their portfolio of products into approval breaking way for 70mil in sales, received the Eager to Win Award in 2016.
Lisa is Six Sigma and Lean Master certified. She received her Master’s from University of New Hampshire and undergraduate at Southern New Hampshire University. She is adjunct faculty, New England College Master’s program in cybersecurity.
