PRIDE: Championing LGBTQIA+ Leaders & Allies
With different backgrounds in the LGBQTIA+ communities, Allies are an integral part of those communities. This word “ally” can mean something different to everyone. Join leaders from Raytheon Technologies as we explore what allyship means to them.
Vivian Ramos
Bridget FinkeldeyVivian Ramos (she/her) is a Senior Manager in the Mission Assurance organization at Raytheon Intelligence and Space. In her role, she leads the deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process (APQP/PPAP) across the supply base for the RI&S business. She is also a member of the APQP Steering Committee in charge of developing and implementing new policies, processes, and requirements for the business. Vivian is a graduate of the Raytheon’s Mission Assurance Talent Rotation program with experience in multiple quality disciplines across land, airborne, and space products. She has more than 15 years of experience with large hardware production programs in roles as Hardware Lead Engineer and Mission Assurance Lead. Vivian has an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Texas Pan-American. She lives in Texas with her wife and three kids.
Allison Whitaker
Bridget FinkeldeyAllison Whitaker (she/her) is a Senior Manager of Program Management at Raytheon Intelligence & Space leading various Electro-Optical Infrared Emerging Technology programs. Allison joined Raytheon Technologies in mid-2020 after spending the prior 10 years at Lockheed Martin leading within a variety of defense projects including the Missile Defense Agency’s ground-based radar systems and the Navy’s Littoral Combat Ship program. In addition to her job as program manager, she is highly involved in the LGBTQ+ community as a public speaker appearing notably as a keynote speaker at Out & Equal’s 2019 Workplace Equality conference and at Raytheon Technologies in which a portion of her life was profiled in the “Stronger Together” video series. She’s received awards for her work as both an LGBTQ+ advocate and for women’s rights, and is also a best-selling author, “Sometimes it Hurts: A Transgender Woman’s Journey”. Allison is a dog mom to Lucy, published photographer, and avid traveler. Allison has an MBA from Walden University and a BA from Stockton University.
Dan Gaylord
Bridget FinkeldeyDan Gaylord (He/Him) Engineering HWI Senior Engineer at Raytheon for 5 years now. I came from a working background supporting RF Engineers with IT support and Server Hardware Support in the telecommunications world at two major companies, and have almost 20 years experience. I have been an active supporter with all ERGS at Raytheon, but most of my work has been with the Pride (LGBTQIA+) ERG, serving as a participant, then the Finance Lead, then the Operations Lead and finally the Lead of the former RAYPRIDE ERG. I have been working to unite North Texas sites including the Collins Aerospace site in Richardson, We have our flag raisings and a spot in the Dallas 40th Pride Parade set for June 4th, 2023 at Fair Park. I am leading our North Texas groups/sites united together to participate in the Parade again this year. I am a graduate of Texas Christian University, Fort Worth Texas.
