What inspired you to join the BioRender team?

In joining BioRender, I felt the impact of the product, the genuine heartbeat of our mission, and a community bound by a common goal. We aren't just making science more accessible. We're lighting paths to a more knowledgeable future.

Being part of BioRender isn't just about filling a role. It's about diving deep into education, championing projects that ignite change, and navigating the thrilling waves of a startup poised to shift the landscape of science communication. With a team of remarkable individuals by my side, each day is a collective stride toward making science come alive for everyone.

What are you looking to accomplish as the Senior Revenue Enablement Manager here at BioRender?

I'm setting out to build our enablement program from scratch with genuine intention. I want to go beyond just ticking off tasks. It's about empowering our teams and giving them the tools they genuinely need to thrive. Working side by side with folks from Sales, Marketing, CS, RevOps, Product, and more, we're defining what ‘great’ truly means and creating a playbook that delivers on that promise, time after time.

What's our ultimate goal? Making things instinctive for our go-to-market teams. Through Value Selling, we aim to make every conversation resonate, reflecting BioRender's genuine value. From the first conversation to long-lasting partnerships, I envision a journey where our customers and GTM teams feel, "That was brilliantly simple!" We’re not just chasing metrics. We’re building meaningful connections and lasting stories.

What has been an interesting project you have worked on?

One project that really sticks in my mind is the Value Selling workshop I led. Bringing our Sales and CS teams together onsite, the energy was electric. It was more than just box-checking. We dove deep, shared insights, had a few laughs, and really bonded as a team. The workshop marked the start of our journey to boost our skills and further provide value to our customers. But we aren’t stopping there. We ensured pull through with a certification process and will keep the momentum with ongoing coaching and reinforcement workshops. It’s been both a challenge and a joy to see how far we’ve come, and I can’t wait to see where the iterations take us and how we adjust based on feedback.

What do you find most rewarding in your current role?

In my current role, what I find most rewarding is witnessing the tangible growth of our teams. Every workshop we conduct, every strategy we implement, and every piece of feedback we incorporate culminates in creating stronger, more skilled professionals. It's not just about hitting targets. It's about the personal and collective milestones we achieve. There's a profound satisfaction in seeing the direct impact of our enablement programs, knowing that we're not only aligning with business goals but genuinely enriching the careers and potentials of our colleagues. The magic is in the journey, and I’m here for every step, challenge, and triumph.

What is the first thing you do when you start your workday?

I sift through Slack and emails to see what's up. Then, I take a quick glance at my calendar so I'm not caught off-guard by any meetings. But it's not all just tasks—LinkedIn is my go-to spot. I pop a post up there, hoping it adds a bit of value or sparks a thought for someone. I also skim through what others share, chiming in when I have a take or learning something new. It’s about connecting, sharing, and constantly learning from the amazing folks around me.

What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?

Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. My partner is great at reminding me of this and is such a calming and wonderful influence.

Do you have any favourite books, movies, or TV shows that you often recommend to others?

Ted Lasso! It hits you in the feels. It's laughter, tears, and life lessons wrapped in one. Beyond the football and jokes, it's about finding light in tough times and highlights what great leadership truly looks like. You don't just watch it; you feel it. Dive in for a soulful ride. I highly recommend it.

If you could learn a new skill or hobby, what would it be, and why does it interest you?

Learn Spanish! My father immigrated to America for college from Chile, hoping for new opportunities. He met my mother and started a family. Unfortunately, having faced discrimination himself, he desperately wanted his children to be accepted as Americans. So he chose not to teach us Spanish, thinking it would help us fit in better. I’ve tried to learn many times and am currently on an almost 300-day Duolingo streak. Crossing my fingers, it sticks, and I plan to keep at it.

What is a piece of advice you would give to new BioBuddies?

Dive deep, stay curious, and embrace the pace. In our startup world, things move swiftly, but we move together.
