How these companies turn purpose into measurable impact

Purpose at work can sound abstract until you see what it looks like in practice. It shows up in the everyday choices companies make, how they build products, support their people, and show up for customers and communities. When purpose is treated as part of the job, not a side initiative, it starts to lead to outcomes you can actually see.

The organizations featured here bring that idea to life in different ways. Some point to clear metrics, others to meaningful changes in how work gets done or who it serves. Together, these examples offer a grounded look at how intent turns into action, and how purpose becomes real when it is built into the business itself.

Delivery Hero

At the tap of a button, our customers can change lives! Through our meal donations features across many of our brands, customers can make a donation and help put food on someone else’s table.

We fight food waste too! At Delivery Hero, we work with hundreds of local food banks and non-profit organizations to help redistribute surplus food. Thanks to these combined efforts, we’re aiming to support the donation of over 100 million meals in 2025.

When it comes to deliveries, we’re also doing our bit to accelerate the shift to zero-emission vehicles, with schemes such as subsidized leasing models, partnerships with EV providers, and battery-swapping stations

Zillow

At Zillow, our mission shows up in how we build, and who we build with. BuyAbility, our personalized affordability tool, is a great example. While Loan Officers are the primary users working directly with consumers, this experience came to life through close collaboration across product design, software engineering, UX research, and data science. Together, these teams created a tool that brings clarity to one of the most stressful parts of homebuying: affordability. The result? More transparent, honest conversations between Loan Officers and buyers—shifting the role from paperwork to guidance. It’s real teamwork driving real customer confidence.

Nestlé

At Nestlé USA, our mission—unlocking the power of food—shows up in measurable results. In 2024 we delivered a 20.38% net GHG reduction and reached 95% renewable electricity across manufacturing, advancing our Net Zero roadmap. We turn purpose into community impact: with Feeding America and 9/11 Day, employees helped pack 8 million meals, backed by a 3:1 match and major brand donations to families and pets. We are proud that consumers see these outcomes through more recyclable packaging and responsible sourcing that cut waste.
