Remote Work Round-Up

Remote Jobs Are Here For The Long Haul, Here's Why:

Remote Work Round-Up

Survey says… the best jobs of 2018 are the farthest from the office, and we couldn't agree more.

FlexJobs conducted a recent study where they analyzed data from the top 100 companies with the most remote job postings (coming from a sample size of over 49,000). Going into their research, they anticipated stereotypical results, similar to data we've seen over and over from studies done on companies with remote job listings - but what they got was completely atypical.

The top career field for remote jobs? 'Medical and health', which is a far cry from the data entry and web design jobs we all know you thought of at first. Remote nurses, occupational therapists and social workers are some of the most prevalent available positions, with computer and IT, customer service, sales, accounting and finance gracing the top seven.

Our biggest takeaway from the survey? Remote jobs are here for the long haul. As a wider variety of career fields embrace flexible work, the more standard it becomes. We can only expect flexible work to become more normal, and that's a huge win for diverse candidates everywhere, not just those in major cities.
