Mindbody is raising awareness.
"Mindbody’s Women’s Collective Employee Resource Group (ERG) was founded in 2016 with the mission of attracting, advancing, and retaining women throughout our global organization. Our founders noticed a need for a community to bring these women together, especially because more often than not, they were the only female members on their team. This group created a safe space to talk about career advancement, discuss how the gender gap is still prevalent today, and provide one another with resources to overcome these challenges. It has grown over the past 7 years to include people of all genders from all different departments across our organization, but the mission remains the same.

Guru is hosting a prom dress drive.
Julia Soffa, Guru's Principal Internal Communications Manager
"We have a number of active and impactful employee resource groups at Guru. One such group is ‘Guru Women,’ which I have the privilege of co-chairing. The group is busy all year round, but International Women’s Day gives us an opportunity to come together and share new ideas for how best to celebrate women and non-binary people both at Guru and within our communities. To spark ideas for how to mark the occasion this year, we sourced suggestions from within the group and chose one that aligns closely with our core values. This year we decided to host a prom dress drive and a dress-for-success drive. We’re partnering with organizations in cities where Guru employees are based and will be donating new and previously loved dresses to support our communities. The drive will kick off in March and continue through April, and we’ll be sharing updates and ways to participate on our social channels. We’ll also be hosting a special gathering of the Guru Women’s Book Club, which is another popular initiative the group runs. Every quarter, we select a book for everyone to read before meeting virtually to discuss key themes, takeaways, and learnings. Members can use their ERG budget to purchase the book, which is just one of many ways Guru invests in its ERGs and in developing a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. I’m grateful to work alongside many impressive women and non-binary people at Guru, and together we’re looking forward to marking International Women’s Day in a way that celebrates their work and has a positive impact in our communities."
